VAC Ban Checker

Check any Steam account for VAC, game, community and trade bans. Just type a Steam name and hit check.

Enter a Steam name, profile link or SteamID64. Required.

In plain EnglishThis tool checks whether a Steam account has a VAC or game ban on record. Paste a Steam ID or profile link to see the result.

What this checks

The checker reads the public ban data Steam exposes for any account: VAC bans, the number of game bans, days since the last ban, community bans and trade or economy bans. It does not need you to log in and it never touches private details. Anyone can look up any public profile.

What name to enter

Type the Steam name from the profile link. If a profile opens at steamcommunity.com/id/yourname, then yourname is what you enter. A full profile URL or a raw 17-digit SteamID64 also work if you have them, but the name on its own is enough.

What is a VAC ban?

A VAC ban is a permanent mark Valve Anti-Cheat places on a Steam account after it detects cheat software. It blocks the account from VAC-secured servers for every game on that engine, shows publicly on the profile, and never expires - Valve only reverses the rare confirmed false positive. This checker reads that public record for any account.

VAC, game and trade bans

  • VAC ban is a permanent Valve Anti-Cheat ban on the account, applied per game family.
  • Game ban is issued by a developer through Steam, separate from VAC.
  • Community ban restricts Steam community features like comments and groups.
  • Trade ban blocks trading and Market activity, often after a scam report.

Days since last ban tells you how recent the most recent ban is, which is handy when buying or trading accounts.
