Vigor is Bohemia Interactive’s free-to-play shooter. It came to Steam in Early Access in May 2024 and fully released there in September 2024. Its Steam page lists Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) as a kernel-level anti-cheat, and no other.
Vigor is also on PlayStation and Xbox, but Bohemia’s FAQ lists cross-play for console players only. Its main mode, Encounter, has you loot a map, find the Air Drop and leave alive. Shootout and Elimination are straight PvP fights. EAC runs at kernel level alongside the game on PC and looks for cheat tools. EAC’s own support pages explain how bans work: when EAC flags an account, it is the publisher, here Bohemia, that decides whether to suspend or ban it. Players do the rest. Bohemia asks them to report cheaters and exploiters through the in-game Report System. In October 2024 it said it was working on steps against cheaters and takes the issue very seriously, and its FAQ says it knows some players use third-party devices to exploit the game. Vigor’s licence forbids cheating, making cheats and promoting them, as well as hacking or modifying the game. If you break it, Bohemia ends your licence, and you are no longer allowed to download, use or play the game. Bohemia has not said that it bans hardware, and it has published no ban figures for Vigor. The game is free, so a new account costs nothing, but a ban takes the Shelter and gear the old one built up. If you think EAC flagged you by mistake, EAC takes appeals through its own form. We rate Vigor "Low" on client detection. EAC is kernel-level, but Bohemia has said little about enforcement beyond asking for reports, and it has announced no ban waves. That makes other players the main risk. In Encounter, anyone who sees you walk through a wall or move faster than anyone should can report you from inside the game. Encounter is about finding loot and leaving alive before the radiation cloud or other Outlanders get you. Loot ESP for resources and player ESP for spotting other Outlanders help more there than perfect aim. Keep movement features such as noclip and speed off in public matches, because other players can see them and report you. The Vigor build we keep current is below.
