Battlefield 6 Anti-Cheat
Kernel-level EA Javelin Anticheat, with Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 required on PC, cheat figures published every month and penalties EA says can reach your device.
In plain EnglishThis page explains the anti-cheat that protects BF6 - the system that tries to catch and ban cheaters. It covers how strict that system is and how cheats try to stay hidden from it. No cheat is ever 100% safe, so always check a product's status before you buy. Battlefield 6 uses EA Javelin Anticheat, a kernel-level anti-cheat that loads a Windows driver with deep system access. Caught cheaters get a hardware (HWID) ban on top of the account ban, and our database rates its detection strength high. The guide below covers how it detects, what a ban really costs and what kind of build survives. What anti-cheat does Battlefield 6 use?
Battlefield 6 came out on 10 October 2025. On PC it needs EA Javelin Anticheat, EA’s own system. Its Steam page lists Javelin as a kernel-level anti-cheat, with boot protection that needs both Secure Boot and TPM 2.0.
EA reports on it in public. In the open beta, EA says Javelin blocked over 1.2 million cheat attempts and it removed tens of thousands of cheaters. It now posts a report every month. In September 2026 Javelin stopped 439,945 attempts, and EA counted 3.27% to 3.64% of matches as hit by at least one cheater. Javelin installs itself with the game and, EA says, runs only while a protected game is running. EA says it works at kernel level because catching external cheats requires it. Secure Boot is there to stop cheats that try to load while Windows starts, and the game shows a prompt if it is switched off. TPM 2.0 is required too. In August 2026 EA said it would strictly enforce it, because most of the 1.24% of players who were not compliant were emulating or spoofing it. EA also prohibits input devices built to avoid detection: XIM, Cronus Zen, Strikepack and Titan Two. The game warns you at launch if it finds one. EA’s Battlefield 6 rules say it needs clear evidence of cheating before it bans a player. Penalties add up: keep breaking the rules and EA may close your whole EA Account. Even partying up with confirmed cheaters over several matches may get you banned from Battlefield 6. EA’s help pages say a ban can sit on your EA Account, on one game or on your device. So it can reach further than one account. You can see each penalty, and appeal it, in EA’s Penalty History tool. EA says it keeps an appeals process for players banned in error. We rate Battlefield 6 "High" on client detection. Javelin runs at kernel level, with both boot checks under it. In EA’s September 2026 report, 107 of the 111 cheat programs it tracks had failures, detection notices or downtime, or had gone offline. EA says most cheaters are banned within their first few matches or hours of play. In its January 2026 report it said it could now detect and ban six more stealth cheats, built to avoid reports and obvious signals. A quiet build is not automatically a safe one. Battlefield 6 rewards information as much as aim: where squads, vehicles and objectives are. ESP that answers that wins more fights than an aimbot that snaps, and EA says in-game reports set off extra systems and telemetry. Both boot checks have to be on, and EA has moved against TPM spoofing. EA also says Javelin can now detect and block DMA cheat hardware.
