Arc Raiders Anti-Cheat
Kernel-level Denuvo Anti-Cheat for every player since mid-2026, behaviour detection from Anybrain, permanent bans on a strong detection and hardware bans that stop the game running on a banned PC.
In plain EnglishThis page explains the anti-cheat that protects Arc Raiders - the system that tries to catch and ban cheaters. It covers how strict that system is and how cheats try to stay hidden from it. No cheat is ever 100% safe, so always check a product's status before you buy. Arc Raiders uses Denuvo Anti-Cheat, a kernel-level anti-cheat that loads a Windows driver with deep system access. Caught cheaters get a hardware (HWID) ban on top of the account ban, and our database rates its detection strength medium. The guide below covers how it detects, what a ban really costs and what kind of build survives. What anti-cheat does Arc Raiders use?
Arc Raiders is Embark Studios’ extraction shooter, released in October 2025. It launched on kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat with machine-learning detection, then moved to Denuvo Anti-Cheat: the rollout began on 19 May 2026 with a limited group of players and reached everyone by 30 June. Its Steam page now lists Denuvo as a kernel-level anti-cheat.
Embark says it uses Denuvo’s anti-cheat only, not Denuvo’s DRM. Its policy is short: any account caught using cheats is permanently banned, with no warnings and no second chances. Denuvo Anti-Cheat loads at kernel level with the game, and its Steam notice adds that it has to be removed by hand after you uninstall. On top of it, Embark uses detections from Anybrain, whose machine-learning models look at how the game is played rather than at files on your PC. Embark has also said it plans to add Elytra, a system it is testing on a small scale in The Finals, without giving a date. Enforcement keeps widening: in September 2026 it ran several ban waves against accounts showing bot-like behaviour. Bans used to step up from 30 days to 60 days to permanent. Since February 2026 a strong detection means a permanent ban straight away, and an account that was ever linked to a banned copy of the game is banned as well. Hardware bans are part of it. Embark says it can stop the game running on a banned system, has lowered the threshold for doing so and plans wider hardware-ban coverage. A new account on the same PC is not a way back, so a spoofer matters here. Every appeal is read by a person. We rate Arc Raiders "Medium" on client detection: a kernel-level anti-cheat with behaviour detection on top, and a stated zero-tolerance policy. Embark does not publish ban totals, so there is no number to plan around. Shared accounts are not safe either. Embark says an account can be banned even when someone else on it did the cheating. Arc Raiders rewards information: where the ARC machines, other raiders and the best loot are, and how far the exit is. ESP that answers those questions changes a raid more than aim does. Because bans are permanent and can reach your hardware, keep cheats off an account you care about and never share it. The Arc Raiders builds we keep current are below. 3 Arc Raiders builds are on sale right now, listed by how each one runs according to its own description.
